Arthritis….tendon/ligaments?
Awesomest Asked: Arthritis….tendon/ligaments?
Hello!
Last summer I broke me leg due to sliding in softball. It was a clean break on the bone next to the ankle. I was in a boot for 6 weeks, I have been through PT twice.
It had now been over a year and I am still having problems/pain. The pain occurs in my lower back ankle. It still becomes swollen and when I am walking I will get this sudden pain that will lead me to limp. It also cracks/pops excessively.
I will be goin the the doctor at the end of the month.
What do you think is the problem? Do you think I will ultimately need surgery? An MRI or CT?
Thanks for your help!

It all started when i was in color guard (Marching band Flags) and has been with me over the last 5 or 6 years.i thought maybe it was just flag work making it hurt, but Now that i have been drum major for three years, the pain still bothers me. There are no visual deficiencies, just lots of pain on the bone of my wrist…it is always in the same spot… i can kinda move the bone their too…Anyone have any idea what this could be????…Should i see a doctor..????Could it be arthritis, tendonitis??? elbow pain please help?
D Asked: elbow pain please help?
I've been having pain in my left elbow. Around the back of the elbow, in the olecranon and the olecranon process (listed in the elbow anatomy), it doesn't always hurt, but when it does, its a sharp pain. And sometimes it'll hurt on the side of the olecranon like the inner side. not quite where the golfers elbow is, but on the side of the olecranon.
The elbow is not swollen, and i guess i typically don't have to be doing anything for it to start hurting. I know if i leave it sitting on a desk it'll hurt, but even if i don't necessarily do that it can hurt.
i'm 17 by the way, bout to be 18 in a few months. Could it be nerve entrapment, or bursitis, or arthritis, or do you think it's a severe muscle imbalance? I don't know what to make of it, and i've been to the doc and he just prescribes anti inflamatories.
please help.

Is this related to my arthritis?
Wabby Asked: Is this related to my arthritis?
I'm 21 years old and my GP is calling my symptoms 'inflammatory arthritis', although my blood tests seem to sometimes agree, but more often not.
I was sent to a rheumatologist who was beyond hopeless. She has made up her mind it wasn't rheumatological by the first appointment and sent me to a physiotherapist. In her opinion I had a mechanical problem that was causing my symptoms..
The physio said "there's definitely nothing mechanically wrong, but you have fluid under your knee cap and the little bursa below your knee cap is inflammed too. And it's definitely rheumatological". She said she didn't want to treat me because I need to be seen by a rheumatologist. So I get a new referral and I'm seeing the new rheumatologist on Wednesday. My GP said that it's time to get me on a disease modifying drug.
Anyway, I'm wondering about these bursas. They're inflammed on both sides. I've looked online and it says that bursitis is common in people who spend time on their knees or after an injury or repetitive movement, but they can also occur in people with diseases like arthritis. I don't spend time on my knees, I've never injured them and I don't make repetitive movements.
I have pain and swelling in my feet/toes, hands/fingers, shoulders and knees. I also have fatigue, dry eyes and dry mouth, vascular rashes, nose ulcers, and just feeling really unwell. Every doctor I've been to have said it's definitely autoimmune arthritis, no one can understand what the rheumatologist is saying.
Is it likely these are related to what my GP is calling 'inflammatory arthritis'?
Thanks.
